Description
In the Green series of the Joli Reading Program we have focused on children with special needs and from Non-English Speaking backgrounds as well as providing additional resources for children who experience difficulties in acquiring literacy skills. We have included several sets of cards for children to use for playing games, learning new words, and for use as flashcards. These nouns and verbs will be used in the first few levels of the program. By introducing the pictures and words at this stage we are providing children with the building blocks to help them become successful readers as they progress. This series would be suitable to introduce literacy skills to children prior to commencing school if desired. The pictures are of everyday things that children are likely to encounter in their daily lives. The basic vocabulary is based on the Bedrock and the 200 most commonly used words list.
